Below are the answers to the most commonly asked questions about our Spanish to English translation.

Driver Licences and National Identity Documents cost $39 which is the minimum cost of any document.

The cost of other documents will depend on a number of factors. These include the number of words, numbers and images (e.g. stamps/seals) a document has, the number of pages and how easy the document is to read (e.g. whether the document is typed or handwritten). If documents contain technical language (e.g. legal or financial terms) and require a lot of formatting is also a major factor.

Driver Licences and National Identity Cards will normally take two business days to be translated and emailed to you.

Translations of Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates and Police Checks/Criminal Records will usually be emailed to you within three business days.

Other documents may take longer. A time estimate will be given to you when we give you a quote. Usually translations will be completed within five business days of receipt.

Your translated NAATI stamped and certified document will be emailed to you.

If required the translation can also be posted to you at an additional cost. The cost is $7 for regular post and $12 for express post.

Payments for your Spanish to English translation are made by PayPal. PayPal is the largest and most widely accepted on-line payments company in the world.

You are protected by making your payment through PayPal. You are also protected by consumer protection provided by your bank and by dealing with a NAATI accredited translator.  

NAATI is the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd (NAATI). It is the national standards and accreditation body for translators and interpreters in Australia.

Most organizations will require your documents to be translated by a NAATI accredited translator.

Please make sure the documents you send us are clear and easy to read. If we cannot read something in a document we must write ‘illegible’ in the translation. It is often very difficult and time-consuming for a translator to work out what is written in old handwritten documents, however, the owner of the document is often familiar with the information it contains (e.g. names of parents, grandparents, witnesses, addresses, etc.) If you tell us that something says “ABC” it often enables us to make out that what is written is “ABC”. Also, an additional charge may be applied where documents are unclear and repeated referrals and corrections are required. So it is worth making sure that you send us the clearest possible copy of the document. Where something is illegible, not clear or hard to read and but know what it says, let us know this in the relevant part of the order form.
